About Us

Nix Group, Inc. has been building in the Park Cities and Dallas area since 1996. Our building experience dates back several decades and four generations in both commercial and residential construction. While some of the building tools and styles have changed, we still maintain pride in craftsmanship. Since its inception, Nix Group, Inc. has completed over one hundred projects – remodels, additions, and new homes. Time-honored values such as honesty, integrity, and treating others as we would like to be treated, are core beliefs at Nix Group, Inc.

Since our inception, we have sought out the most professional and qualified trades (subcontractors) in each field. Many of the trades started with us in the 90s and are still part of our home building team.

Larry Nix, PE, CGB, CGP

Larry's passions include building custom homes, working with home owners, architects, designers, suppliers and workers.

He was previously employed at the Texas Highway Department, Texas Utilities and the Corps of Engineers. He has supervised the restoration and construction of buildings, electric power plants, office space, maintenance shops, dams, roads and bridges.

Larry's credentials include:

  • Registered Civil Engineer

  • Certified Graduate Builder

  • Certified Green Professional

  • Member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas

  • Member of the National Home Builders Association

  • Licensed to build in Dallas

  • Registered with the Texas Residential Construction Commission.
